Theatre Rental - $4,000 vs. 8% of the gross (greater there of)
Non-Profit Organizations may receive a 20% discount on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday and a 10% discount on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday
Flat rates are available for graduations and other special events.
Labor
Front of House Staffing (ushers, ticket takers, etc) - $1,000
Custodial Charge – $400-$800 (depending on the nature of the show)
Stagehands/Wardrobe - according to local agreement with IATSE
Security Guards (minimum of 4 hours) - $20/hour
Box Office
Box Office Services - $500-$1,000
Box Office Ticket Charges - $.25 per ticket issued
Commissions on Group Sales provided by The Lyric - 10% of Group Sales
Restoration Charge - $2.50 per ticket sold
Credit Card Commissions – 5%
Amusement Tax (when applicable) - 10%
Box Office Hours – 10 am-5 pm Monday thru Friday
On performance days, box office will open two hours prior to performance time and remain open one hour past scheduled curtain.
If one week prior to the performance date, ticket revenues held by The Lyric are not at least 100% of the total rental costs, estimated technical labor, and other costs, the lessee must submit the balance. If lessee is unable to make these payments (certified or cash), the event may be cancelled and ticket buyers reimbursed.
Lessee is required, at their expense, to provide a policy of General Commercial Liability and Property Damage Insurance, and Worker’s Compensation and Employer’s Liability in the amount of $1,000,000.00 (per occurrence) naming The Lyric Foundation, Lyric Productions, LLC and The Lyric Opera House, and their affiliates, and their respective principals and employees as co-insureds.
